Kadaif noodles ricotta and cherry confiture

  • Kadaif noodles
  • 250 g of natural ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup cherry confiture
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 150 g of melted butter

  • Separate the kadaif noodles in a wide bowl.
  • Drizzle 50 g of the melted butter over the noodles and mix well.
  • Mix the cheese with lemon zest and vanilla in a bowl.
  • In a Teflon pan, pour 50 grams of melted butter and cover with an even and tight layer of Kadaif noodles. Pour the cheese mixture on top and the confiture on top.
  • Cover with another layer of Kadaif noodles and press well between the edges of the pan.
  • Drizzle the remaining butter on top.
  • Fry on a medium flame for about 4-5 minutes and constantly rotate the pan so that it does not “stand” in one place.
  • Remove from the heat, place a plate the size of the pan and turn the pastry into a plate. The pastry should be brown and crispy.
  • Return the pastry back to the pan and fry the other side in the same way.
  • Serve lukewarm, you can also bake in a hot oven at 180 degrees for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
